Emergency Housing and School Aid

Hi CommUNITY, my family and I are in a housing crisis. On August 8, 2020, the ceiling in the living room and bathroom collapsed in our apartment. We have yet to receive assistance or response from our landlord. We are currently displaced because the damage is very dangerous and extensive. My mom is a single parent with 6 children. I won’t be able to start school on time due to this unforeseen housing crisis and lack of school supplies. My laptop broke on the frontlines in Minnesota and I haven’t had the funds to fix it. All of my grassroots donations have gone towards my survival on the frontlines. I have been separated from my family for over two months now because I’m on the frontlines as an Organizer and we’re in the middle of a pandemic. My mom has asthma and I don’t want to put her or my siblings at risk. I’m forced to put my life on pause and help my family find stable housing until this matter is resolved.
