Skate Collective for Black Women & Queer BIPOC

Hello everyone! My name is Jade and I am the founder of Rodeo Skate Co. We are a skate collective/brand for Black women and Black Trans and Non-Gender conforming people but also inclusive to other Pocs. Rodeo was started under very uncertain circumstances but the turn outs have been amazing! We’ve only had a few meet ups but it hasn’t taken long for me to see the growth in my community just from these small actions. My goal is to help Dallas grow more community based environments, especially for Black people and black queer people in any type of scene. The skate scene has always been a very white male dominated space. Rodeo is here combat that and to take back the spaces that also belong to us. The money for the fundraiser will be used to help start up our brand in different ways such as supplying skaters in need of boards and quads, as well getting other gear set up for the business.
