Beirut’s devastation. Urgent help needed for aid

The devastating blast that rocked Lebanon while many of us slept soundly in our beds has caused mass destruction, extensive loss of lives and also massive injuries to those that live there. Already 2020 has been a year that across the globe has seen many do it tough, that is for certain and this shocking news and tragedy is one that if we are able to assist, we must. In the explosion the residents of Lebanon (many of whom are already poor and are undertaking hardship) are now without core medical supplies, wheat stores and food (entire silos were demolished along with stockpiled lifesaving medical equipment too). Lebanon is already a country rife with corruption – something many we will never know the full effects of firsthand. There are citizens there now that faced with famine, starvation, illness and not being able to access basic human rights because of a country and economy in demise. The situation has shattered our hearts. Watching the people of Lebanon face hardship after hardship, watching people die from starvation, from systematic corruption from a devastating blast.  We want and need to help our fellow brothers and sisters. Now more than ever is the compassion and kindness of others required to help those in desperate need. We ask for anyone that can spare even a single $1, to dig into your hearts and pockets, as the time to band and unite is now. The funds will go directly to purchase aid that will be distributed to all sects and faiths. There will be no discrimination on distribution, nor will funds will not be handed to any third party.  We have direct access to medical products and stores, and we will be sourcing all products at major wholesale cost. We are working with the largest traders right now, and are committed to ensuring products are urgently sent and distributed appropriately to those in need. Who are we, and where are we from? We are an Australian registered charity and youth group who focuses on helping anyone in need. We have been running for over 5 years and have distributed aid all over Australia and the globe. About Me: I am Australian born and raised, however my parents migrated from Lebanon and I have been working heavily in Lebanon for the past 5 years (largely in sending aid and support to the poor). The donations will be used to source product and we will be working with various trusted and reputable major sources in Lebanon, to ensure the aid goes to who really needs it. A clear explanation of how the donations will be spent: Subject to the amount of funds received we will purchase, wheat, food, water and medical supplies all subject to crucial requirements.  A dedicated site will be also be created with a complete overview of the whole process and spending. We will ensure and provide complete transparency on how and where these funds will be allocated.
