Omar was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure Three years ago. The diagnosis was FSGS which affects 7 out of 1 million people in a general population. Unfortunately Omar was one of that 7. Doctors informed us that it was a hereditary cause. He is a Son, a Brother, an Uncle, a nephew but most importantly a Husband and a Father to Three beautiful children that need him to guide them, to protect and make many more memories. He is currently doing dialysis and is on the San Antonio University Transplant Center waiting list. Omar is currently waiting on a cadaver kidney but the best option is still a living donor. It hasn’t been easy for them juggling with all of what’s going on but they’ve pulled through. With all of what’s going on we understand it’s not easy to be In their shoes. His insurance covers the procedure and hospital stay for him and the donor but unfortunately insurance does not cover the expenses and costs of having to stay 3-4 weeks close to the hospital for observation. That does not include the time having to take off of work for Both Patty and Omar. That is why we come to you for you support.
