Helping Ralph Brooks

Donation protected
Ralph Brooks and his family need our help as he struggles with his bipolar disorder. The teacher and coach who introduced thousands of children to the joys of nature and movement during his three decades at the Waldorf school of Lexington, and the 22 summers at the Sun Valley Swim & Tennis Club of Lexington, has learned that the nature of life itself can prove to be tremendously difficult. Ralph underwent 2 hip surgeries last summer after 15 years of enduring pain. Excessive intake of prescribed painkillers and substance abuse became a lifestyle. A roller coaster of manic episodes followed by depression set in and subsequently three hospitalizations. Not being able to maintain a normal life he lost his jobs that he loves so dearly. Ralph and his family need our help and support, our goal is to raise $50,000 to cover the cost of three months stay at MOUNTAIN PEAK Recovery center in Utah, where he is currently being treated, as well as the cost of health insurance & additional medical expenses. We want to thank everybody who has already been so supportive during this difficult time. Before sickness Ralph who has always been willing and able to go the extra mile for everyone in need, needs to come home to himself and heal so he can rejoin his family and community. We miss him!! ❤️
