Stephanie's Medical Funds
Hey guys! I'm Zander and I am creating this page on behalf of my girlfriend, Stephanie. Stephanie is a 26 year old female who grew up on Long Island
with a very big and close community of family and friends. Her dream, since being a little girl,
was to live at Disney World. When she was 20 years old, she packed up her VW
bug and made that dream a reality.
Since then, she has worked as a server in Orlando, and visits the theme parks
often. She runs as a hobby, as well as tackles song writing, and loves soaking
up that Florida sunshine. We have been dating for a year, and are best friends with a shared love of anything Star Wars!
Unfortunately, on Nov 14, she came down with what she thought was a severe case
of the flu. Within 24 hours, she went from the ER to the ICU, with bruises all
over her body that would randomly appear, as well as severe pain in her legs.
Nobody could touch her without her screaming in agony. That pain has not
subsided, and is the reason she has
not been able to walk since that day.
While doctor's would like to believe this is rheumatology related, they were
unable to find a diagnosis. Therefore, Stephanie is stuck in her apartment, unable
to walk, and surviving her days only with a slew of pain medications. I watch her fight each day, while she constantly works on her physical therapy and is stubborn trying to do whatever she can to progress in her strength. She also spends all day on the phone working on expediting her hope for medicaid and disability approvals. She has already registered
for a marathon next year...so you know she's looking to win this battle! She's very determined to overcome this all, whatever it may
be.
While she is waiting on medicaid and disability, she has no source of
income. Sadly, our families can only help her ourselves so much financially. Hence, my creating this page.
I ask for any amount you can donate, to help Stephanie cover her medicines, and
to pay for all the medical bills she has piling up, let alone the bills and doctor's visits she'll
be having in her near future. Every little bit helps at this point. Even if
it's just enough for a meal to take her medicines with!! I appreciate your time
to read our story, and thank you for keeping Stephanie in your thoughts and
prayers. And thank you in advance for any help you can offer her through this extremely difficult time.
We will keep you updated on any progress!!
