Italy Family Earthquake Victims

We had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful town of Pescara del Tronto this May and were so graciously hosted by the relatives of Lindo Rendina. His family was so hospitable and the salt of the earth! They made us all feel instantly welcomed, and loved, in spite of the language barriers. Such a truly loving people who are now suffering through an unimaginable disaster. Some of the beautiful souls we met are no longer with us. Most are homeless, injured and at a loss for how to cope with their future. They have lost everything. The magnitude of their losses cannot be comprehended. One cousin lost both of her parents and her husband. She is in the hospital. One family is homeless spanning three generations. The beautiful and historic town is gone. It's hard to believe that the three homes of families where we were served the best homemade food and wine are no longer standing. Many of the American family members have had the opportunity to enjoy the company of these beautiful people. Everyone here is wondering how to help, who to send money to...so we have created this page to collect funds to help the survivors. I don't even know how much money to set as a goal. Any amount will help. Our hearts are aching and this is the only thing we can do to help fund funerals, purchase food and clothing and help for the many homeless to obtain housing.
