Fell behind on rent

After a very trying last two years of my elderly parents having lost their home to a foreclosure auction, followed by us having to spend some time in a hotel while my parents then got very sick and passed away months later (though thankfully not from Covid), I was finally able to find a room for rent a few months ago.

Not having been able to work for a while while taking care of my parents in their final years, but now needing money immediately to start paying the rent (along with the security deposit for the first month) while still paying for groceries and other necessary bills, I've been working in food delivery the last few months (one of the very few jobs out there that pays immediately, per delivery).  Working all day nearly each day, the gross pay by itself would usually be sufficient but much of the earned money then goes back into gasoline (much moreso than with regular jobs) and whatever car maintenance is needed.  Unfortunately, while I'd been making my rent payments on time at first, the extra car expenditures along with my other bills finally caught up with me recently and I've fallen behind on the rent.  Needless to say, my landlord is not happy with that and I've been been told that I need to bring my rent payment current or that I'll have to move out. :(

I'm asking for help to make up my back-rent as soon as possible plus perhaps with some groceries.  It would also finally give me the time to apply for and obtain a regular job so that falling behind should then no longer be an issue.
