My name is LuLu Bella Corey. I am a beautiful six year old dachshund with a loving family. I was recently hurt and my Mommy needs your help.
Mommy picked me up from my hotel on Friday after she returned from her very special trip. I began walking funny, then I stopped using my back legs. Mommy immediately took me to my vet before even going home after her long drive. My vet noticed my back legs buckling and dragging and said Mommy needed to get me to the neurologist immediately because I had a disc out.
Mommy immediately drove me to the neurologist, who could feel the swelling and said that my injury happened that day. He told Mommy that my injury could subside on its own if it’s not major or I could be paralyzed by the next day. The only way to know for sure is a CT scan, but Mommy wasn't able to afford it. I have to have anesthesia, blood work and monitoring with the CT scan too. I guess the only way they can keep me still during the CT scan is with anesthesia, which worries Mommy too. Then there is the cost for the person who reads the CT scan and prepares the report. So we had to go with plan B, which was more doable. I got a steroid shot, and we left with pain and inflammation medications.
I'm in more pain today than I was yesterday. I'm wincing and whining when Mommy picks me up. I'm resting when I can. Mommy has to keep me immobile for two weeks. That's very hard for both of us.
As we wait and pray, Mommy is very scared. She knows I need the CT scan to really know what is wrong and that delaying it will only hurt me. Mommy has been through so much already, and now she is very scared and worried about me.
Please help me raise funds so my Mommy can get my CT scan, and then we can figure out where to go from there. Prayers are welcome and appreciated too! Thank you everyone for your love and kindness!!! Woof! Woof! ❤️❤️❤️
