Zachary's Medical Fund
Hello, my name is John Cooney. I am the proud parent of Zach Cooney. I am submitting this gofundme request so that all of our friend and family if able can help us with his medical condition.
As most of you know, in 2011 Zachary had a bad expience with a gall bladder surgery. As a result of this botched surgery, for the last 5 years Zachary has been in and out of hospitals over 70 times.
It was later determined that he had been dealing with a bile duct cut that was dumping bile into his stomach. As a result of this bile dumping, Zachary has experienced several sever vomitting episodes, which has ruined his quiality of life and deterioated his health.
His mother, Susiz, and I have been hoping for a mircale to find a way to get him fixed.
The stress has been overwhelming for us all. It was too much for Susiz, so much that we lost her in 2014.
Now it's just me and Zachary. My goal now is to get him fixed no matter the cost. That is what Susiz would have wanted me to do.
Finally with help from our family docotor, John Boston, we have been able to make contact with the Mayo Clinic in Minn. They have agreed to take Zachary's case.
He now has an appointment on July 11, to see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic.
It is my hopes that I could raise enough money ($5000) to send him to the clinic in July, where they can do all the necessary test required in hopes of helping him have a better quality of life. No one his age should have to live like he does daily.
I am personnally providing financial and moral support with what I can to help him but I can't do it alone. There is so much yet to do! This is why I am asking for help.
To see him smile again, or just to wake up the next morning knowing that he could make it through the day without a episode, is all a parent could ask for.
That is all we ever wanted for our child was to happy and healthy.
For Susiz and Zachary I ask for your help.
