VICTORY FOR TIFFANY
Life comes first; cancer comes second. I am a mother. I am a friend. I am a daughter. I am Tiffany Myles and I am determined to fight cancer until my last breath. I went to
the hospital for what I assumed would be a quick visit to combat the aches and pains I was facing. The visit started off normal until the words, “we think we’ve found something” proceeded from the mouth of my doctor. I initially hoped those words meant that they found what was ailing me though a sickening feeling immediately entered my stomach. Further test revealed that I have pancreatic cancer. “Wait! What? I am only 36 years old! I am not feeling that sick. I am the sole caretaker of 3 children. I can’t have cancer.” If the diagnosis wasn’t earth shattering enough, a
subsequent prognosis of 3 months to live left my whole world in turmoil. The days, weeks, and months ahead will consist of countless doctor appointments,
extensive travel, long hospital stays and other things I can’t imagine. I am seeking funding to aid with the cost of securing a second opinion, managing daily expenses while I undergone intense treatment, and to aid in supporting my children during this time while I am unable to work—which is my only source of income. Your financial contribution will allow me to focus on fighting with all that I have within me and minimize my worries concerning how I will provide for my
children and myself during this time.
