Connor Michael Loomis has arrived and has already proven he is a fighter! Sara and Kurt welcomed their sweet baby boy, Connor on Tuesday, June 23rd. Unbeknownst to his parents and medical staff, Connor was born with a condition called Malrotation and vulvulus; meaning his small intestine did not form the correct way while in utero so it then twisted and was blocking nutrients from absorbing into his system. Connor has had to have 4 surgeries and continues to fight for his life. While he has proven he is so strong, Connor has a long road ahead of him. He will be in NICU for the foreseeable future, and his recovery will not end there. Sara and Kurt have been through more than most new parents can imagine after waiting a long time for this baby. But anyone who knows them will tell you this- individually they are strong, together they are a force. A force of love. Connor could not be in better hands. But that doesn’t stop the fact that this journey ahead will be difficult. The last thing we want them to worry about now are medical expenses. To know this family is to love them, and we know everyone who loves them wants to help somehow. Prayers are our #1 request.
