22 yr old, Jesus Zarate's Funeral & Other expenses

Our family has suffered another tremendous loss, both within 2 months of each other. My 22 year old nephew Jesus "Jesse" Zarate (Far Left) from Posen, Illinois was murdered in Gary Indiana on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Jesus just turned 22 on January 14th, and in November, his father Jose Zarate (48 years old) was laid to rest after a lost battle with COVID-19. 

The murder is still under investigation and anyone in the Indiana and Chicago area is encouraged to call local police: GARY POLICE INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE SATURDAY  

They are a beautiful, hard working, close-knit Mexican immigrant family that have been in the Chicago area for the last 23 years. My cousin, Jose created a small landscaping business, and Jesse would work with his Dad in the business. After this father passed, Jesse operated the family business so that he can help support his mom and three sisters. He was a very responsible young man that was very close to his grandfather, my mom's older brother. 

Our family in San Diego, Oakland, Walla Walla, Washington, Taquiscuareo, Michoacan, are praying for Jesse mom's (Maria), sister ( Elizabeth, Rosalinda and Bianca), his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 

The family is  in shock and mourning another horrible loss. 

In addition to praying, we are asking our family and friends to make a donation so that we can help the family have one less worry, the finances necessary for burial expenses.

There is such great loss of loved ones that many of us are experiencing all around the world, because of COVID-19, that all we can do is be there for others with our prayers and financial support, if we are able.

Mi sobrino de 22 años, Jesús "Jesse" Zarate (a la izquierda en la foto) de Posen, Illinois, fue asesinado en Gary, Indiana el sábado 23 de enero de 2021. Jesús acaba de cumplir 22 años el 14 de enero, y en noviembre, su papá José Zarate fue enterrado después de perder la batalla con COVID-19. Son una familia inmigrante mexicana hermosa, trabajadora y muy unida que ha estado en el área de Chicago durante los últimos 23 años. Mi primo, José, creó un pequeño negocio de jardinería y Jesse trabajaba con su papá en el negocio. Después de la muerte de su papá, Jesse se hizo cargo del negocio familiar para poder ayudar a sostener  a su mamá y sus tres hermanas. Era un joven muy responsable y muy cercano a su abuelo, el hermano mayor de mi mamá. Nuestra familia en San Diego, Oakland, Walla Walla, Washington, Taquiscuareo, Michoacán, están orando por la mamá de Jesse (María), hermana (Elizabeth, Rosalinda y Bianca), sus abuelos, tías, tíos, primos y muchos amigos. La familia está en tremendo shock y de luto por otra terrible pérdida. Además de orar, estamos pidiendo a nuestros familiares y amigos que hagan una donación para poder ayudar a la familia a tener una preocupación menos, con los gastos para el funeral.
