Cowboy’s EMERGENCY Back Surgery

Hi Everyone! This is Cowboy, our little protector, who has recently become paralyzed in his back legs and is in desperate need for back surgery... The other day in a race to go outside Cowboy jumped from too high off a couch. He dislocated two discs, #10 and #11 in his back. The pressure on his nerves from the discs has caused paralyzation in his two back legs. He can’t get up to go to the bathroom and can only move slightly by dragging his legs... The good news is, the paralyzation isn’t permanent and he can be back to nearly normal if corrective surgery is performed... The bad news is due to the COVID crisis and supplementally losing our jobs, we’re put between a rock and a hard place. Pay the $6,000 for surgery, which we can’t afford, or $50 to put him down... We can NOT give up without a try though. He’s the most loyal of loyal dogs. And is a huge mental support during this time. He even protects our family more than the other larger pups. Just a few weeks ago he put himself in harms way before to protect our family from a rapid fox!!!... This time it’s our turn to help him, and we know we can’t do it alone. But as a wise man once said, “Many hands make a heavy load light”. The Vet said the surgery would be around $5,500 (including $1,400 just for the MRI... ridiculous ). We’re asking $6,000 to make up for the costs of using GoFundMe ($.30 of every dollar donated + 2.9% of total donation). Which broken down simply if 300 people gave $20, it’s covered. Or if 600 people gave $10, it’s covered. Some of you know and have experienced how it feels when a furry member of your family gets hurt. It’s a helpless feeling.
