Jacob Lake Inn Fundraiser

As friends of Jacob Lake Inn, we have been guests of the Rich, Bowman, Langi, and Eliesa families. They treat us like family, and as family you take care of each other when they are struggling. As you know, there has been a dangerous forest fire that continues to threaten Jacob Lake Inn. But this year started out challenging with the limitations and restrictions of COVID-19 and the losses from reduced tourism and travel in the area. And now the Mangum Forest Fire. They have been on the Kaibab Plateau for almost 100 years and though they have seen fires and have been evacuated before, it has never come this close and they have never been evacuated for this long. The Forest Service and fire crews have done an incredible job of protecting the buildings and property, but there are still spot fires that drop embers all around the area. As they wait to find out the final damage, we have seen that so many people have wanted to find a way to help. The cities and inhabitants of Kanab, Fredonia, and St George have been so generous with their resources and kindness already. We are calling on anyone who would like to add to that generosity and give back to these wonderful families who continually share their hospitality and addictive cookies with us all.
