Help Cool Our Buns Off With A New Cooling Unit!

This is where we URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP!!! We, at Everybunny Counts Rabbit Rescue, Inc. have found an ideal industrial cooling unit that will help us to finally keep our rescue open all year long! As well as keep our hardworking volunteers, bunnies and adopters cool and comfortable! This unit is a much better price compared to the outrageous quotes we’ve received in the past. I’ve attached a picture of the breakdown of the price which comes out to be $5905. It’s a big number, but renting alone would be $700+ a month. We would like to purchase the unit outright, as it is cheaper in the long run this way and will help us all sleep better at night knowing we finally have the missing piece in the dreaded climate control problem we’ve faced for years. I thank anyone from the bottom of my heart, who can donate or share to help us get to that goal to get this unit bought and installed before the heat forces us out again. ***Every summer for the last 3 years at Everybunny Counts Rabbit Rescue, Inc., we have had to plan to the best of our ability what kind of heat and humidity is on the horizon so we can evacuate out our 70+ bunnies into foster homes. Sometimes this will be for a couple weeks or longer and often we have to do a second evacuation during the June- September heat. This is a daunting and exhausting task for all of the volunteers and we often have to close for adoption appointments due to this. Keeping in mind that this year we have been closed from March to June due to the pandemic, that means we’d have little opportunities this year for adoptions. Which in turn means not being able to assist with other bunnies in need. This is not acceptable to me as a rescuer. We want these bunnies to find their forever home sooner then later. We have installed ceiling fan, an exhaust fan, window and floor units (only to have them fail and break), and we also continue to switch out cold tiles and cold water throughout the day as well, but this only gets us to the end of June without issue. Our space is on the third floor in the back of an old factory which retains the heat and humidity.
