2021 Vancouver International Black Film Festival

Hi my name is Lincoln Thorne the founder and curator of Vancouver inaugural Black Film Festival. Myself and and our non profit society Fade to Black Entertainment would like to invite you to this inaugural event in the heart of the city east side representing films from and/or about the afro diaspora. These independent filmmakers from local to around the globe distinguish itself from stories pertaining to melanated peoples expressions, joys, struggles, and triumphs not normally seen in the mainstream western media. We come to you today in hopes that your investment can help these individuals travel and accommodation expenses so that they can accompany their films and present them to the Vancouver audience.

We asking for donations toward their endeavors in the opening and closing gala of the festival Nov.27th/28 2021 at the historic Cultch Theater in the lower mainland east side area. We are self funded with no grants or privates funding and solely rely on in kind money's to put on this event. We are doing this so that our audience can interact in person with the filmmakers and be involved with the Q$A experience with all the artists.

Any amounts possible would be greatly appreciative and help with the financial burdens these type of events entail.
