2021 Stabby Awards

Reddit's /r/Fantasy is the largest speculative fiction discussion forum on the internet. We've hosted the Stabby Awards annually since 2012. Winners receive bragging rights, industry recognition, and a fancy engraved dagger award.

 

This project provides the funding for the engraved daggers to be purchased and shipped. Winners can potentially live anywhere in the world, as our community spans the globe, so shipping can become expensive quickly.

 

Depending on the winners, more than one Stabby may be needed per award category.

 

Please make sure to nominate and vote for the Stabby Awards on /r/Fantasy once the nomination post is live, and even if you can't contribute, please be sure to share. Our /r/Fantasy community has grown by leaps and bounds, and we love you all.

 

After commissioning and shipping the Stabby daggers, the remainder of money we receive will be split equally amongst our StabbyCon panel participants as a thank-you for their time and contributions to the subreddit. If we fail to meet our fundraising goals/the honorarium would be under $10 per panelist, we will donate any remaining funds to the Pixel Project. Honorariums will also cap at $50, with any remaining funds going to the Pixel Project.

 

And yes, last year's Stabbies have not gone out yet. We are establishing a better method to get them ordered this year, and last year and this year's Stabby daggers will go out at the same time. All the money donated last year is still waiting to be used for last year's awards.
