Now more than ever, we're so grateful for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated and advocated for the CHILDREN'S HELMET INITIATIVE through the years.
Young bicyclists account for 26,000 traumatic brain injury cases annually. Yet a survey conducted by the Pediatric Trauma Society found that only 48% of children aged 5-14 wore bicycle helmets when riding. Helmets reduce serious head injury by nearly 70%.
While much of the world has stopped, our mission to support the CHILDREN'S
HELMET INITIATIVE remains committed to providing bike safety helmets to our south Florida children in need.
