SPREADING THE LOVE
Thank you to all of our donors for helping us reach our original goal.
We have increased our fundraising goal to $10,000 (an increase of $5,000) for a few reasons:
#1. We need a permanent home for our equipment (and get it out of James' garage) which includes purchasing of a container, wrapping or covering it with something appropriate for the park, and all the associated installation costs.
#2. We have seen an increase in people using the trail (which is a GOOD THING!:) ) but with it comes more grooming and maintenance which cost more money and
#3. With the pilot extensions both East and West this season, we would LOVE to be able continue grooming them for future years. These extensions have helped us all to SPREAD out to keep a Safer distance from one another.
This multi-use urban winter trail is welcoming and inclusive to all forms of winter activity, be it cross-country skiing, winter biking, snow shoeing, or walking! This is an opportunity for everyone to get out into the fresh air during the snowy months. Britannia Winter Trail is a community led initiative run by a group of dedicated volunteers as a registered not for profit organization.
