2020 Global Game Jam Nashville

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an international event from January 31-February 2, 2020 where registered jammers gather to collaborate and create a game based on the announced theme over the course of the weekend. Volunteers from the Nashville Game Developers organize the event with support from the venue, The Wond’ry at Vanderbilt University .

We are collecting sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support to host the event for an estimated 150 jammers in Nashville for 2020. The funds will be used for venue expenses, providing t-shirts for registered jammers, required event insurance, food and drinks for jammers, and administrative expenses such as printouts and flyers.

Currently Available Sponsorship Levels:
$125 - Slide during the opening and closing presentations, social media mentions, promotional materials on registration table.

Stretch goals now that initial $3,500 funding goal has been meet:
•$60 – Costco membership for org – 1 year
••$98.94 – Meetup.com subscription – 6 months auto-renews on 2/7
•$100 – Annual filing with state due end of March 2020
•$275 – IRS fee for 501c3 status application.
•$500 – fee for filing service to handle 501c3
•$500 – venue deposit for 2021 Global Game Jam

Any donation of any amount is welcome and greatly appreciated. Your support will help us continue providing an event that furthers the technological and artistic skill level of the Nashville community for game development. Anyone of any skill level is welcome to participate. There's bound to be something you can do to help make a game. And you don't even have to make a video game; analog games (board and card games) are welcome as well.
