2019 NCJA Universiade Team

Support the 2019 National Collegiate Judo Association athletes and coaching staff. The 10 athletes, 2 coaches and 1 athletic trainer are representing the USA and their respective universities.
The Universiade also known as the World University Games is an international multi-sport event organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The Universiade is staged every two years in a different city around the world, representing both winter and summer competitions and is second only in importance to the Olympic Games. The judo competition dates are July 4-7. All athletes needs to arrive no later than July 2.
Due to limited funds, the NCJA are paying for a small portion. of their expenses.
The cost for each athlete is $2495 plus airfare. The funds cover the following
*Ground transportation while at the GAMES, including airport, game, and practice transfers.
*Rooms are in the Athletes Village
*Three meals a day in the Athletes Village
*Athletes Village accreditation (picture ID), additional cost if lost
*Team USA office and staffing
*Team USA doctor and 24-hour medical clinic in Athletes Village
* Med-ex insurance while at the GAMES
*Official Team USA apparel
*Team USA pins to trade with other countries’ athletes, at least 10 per person
*March in the opening and/or closing ceremonies behind the United States flag (depending on your arrival and departure dates)
*Pre-Games organizational help and website access
*Tickets for other selected GAMES events
*Processing and technology fees
*Sanctioning fees and procedures with US-IUSF and FISU
