2018 CampedUP Scholarship Fund

This year CampedUP, a summer camp specially designed for children with hearing loss, will be welcoming campers for our 6th summer and it is because of all of you that we will continue to be able to provide scholarship to so many deserving campers this summer. Your donation will help children share in the joy of camp and let their hearing devices shine! Just ask the mother of 4 year old Kullen who is counting down the days for his 2nd summer of camp to begin!
Dear CampedUP Supporters,
Last summer, my son got to experience the summer of a lifetime at CampedUP. Prior to his attendance he had recently been diagnosed with a bilateral hearing loss, and as a mother, I felt conflicted about where to place him during the summer months.
I quickly realized that I now needed to consider so many new things before dropping him off in a new environment. Not only did I need to think of his safety or where he would have the most fun, but now I had a whole list of new things to think about.
Who would take care of his hearing aids? Would he feel accepted? Who would be his advocate?
Then I found CampedUP and those fears and questions were settled. My sons time at camp made him feel like he was a part of a community. Everyday he came home with wonderful projects and so many stories to share about his day at camp. He met so many friends who had super ears just like him!
This experience would not have been possible without all of you. Without your generous donations I would not have had the resources to send him to such a specialized program. CampedUP's scholarship fund reaches so many children like Kullen and allows them to have a summer filled laughter, creativity and most of all acceptance. Thank you for making this possible for my son and his other friends who have been touched by the CampedUP scholarship fund. It has truly been a life changing experience for our family.
