2018-19 Preuss Girl's Basketball

This is the 5th year I've been involved with this amazing program. Because of all of you, during that span we've raised nearly $20,000. The high school, funded by UCSD, is a low- income, 1st- generation school meaning, my players will be the first from their family to graduate from college.
Every year our goal is to provide the girls with team shoes, nice gear, the proper equipment, meals, transportation and more.
Shorter-term goals are to secure funding for scholarships for seniors going on to college to help pay for books and other expenses they might need help with.
Longer-term goals are to try and raise money to add additional baskets to the gym and eventually build a new facility as currently we don't really have a real gym.
Last year we made it to the CIF San Diego section playoffs and won our first-round game before losing to the eventual CIF champion in the second round. It was an amazing year as we went 13 and 11. Our best player is moving on to Community College to play and we are so proud of Nia.
