2008 Sierra Surf boys heading to Dallas Cup

2008 Sierra Surf Boys Soccer Team Invited to Dallas Cup..the FIRST EVER Northern Nevada team to receive an invitation!

Dallas Cup is a prestigious tournament with State-side teams as well as International teams...one of the biggest stages in all of Youth Soccer.

The 08 team, coached by Nick Arbelaez and Scott Morton, is predominantly made up of 8th grade and freshman boys from the Northern Nevada/Truckee/South Lake Tahoe area who have been putting in the work to compete at the highest level against top teams. The team currently competes in the top league in our region, Nor Cal State Premier NPL and competed in their first Surf Cup in late July, making it to the Semifinals. Most recently the team WON the Surf College Cup in San Diego which is considered a top 10 event in the country.

Being invited to the Dallas Cup is a huge honor for this group of players and getting them to this tournament would be an unforgettable experience for them as soccer players but also as developing, young men. Contributions to this account will be used for the passenger van that is required in Dallas, for assistance with the players' flights and for the trading pins that the team will share with teams from around the country and world.
