Hello!
We've been accepted to study at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the Netherlands for the fall semester. Riley is an Urban Studies major and Janett is an Urban Planning major; we are both students at DAAP, at the University of Cincinnati.
As future professionals in urban-focused disciplines, living in Amsterdam is an amazing opportunity. We want to learn more about this below-sea-level city's succesful flood management policy, understand the measures behind its unique bike-centered transportation network, and experience its multicultural life.
The expenses associated with this experience are substantial. We both are full time students and working through the summer to finance our biggest expense: tuition. However, we need help to be able to cover the rest. Thus, we are asking all our friends to help us fund this trip by making a contribution through this site.
Our fundraising goal of $5,000 per person would cover housing, transportation, meals, educational activities, and other expenses during this semester. We also will be conducting a series of fundraising activities through the summer.
Our wish list includes just some of the activities and expenses planned during our stay, but you can make a donation of any amount (even $5 will buy us a breakfast burrito!).

-You always wanted to do something to help women in STEM fields
-We won't waste your money, we're Dean's List students with GPA's of 3.73 and 3.5.

To receive a small package with mementos from our Anne Frank Museum visit (A perfect gift for the Holidays, specially for little girls)

We will personally put together a Dutch care package filled with Amsterdam goodies that we think you might enjoy. This way you can get a little taste of Amsterdam at home!
