Support For Mental Health of First Responders

We are a nonprofit with offices in Ashford, CT and Queens, NY and we provide counseling and spiritual direction services to individuals and families. At this time we are experiencing calls from First Responders who are dealing with emotional issues during this time of the Covid-19. One family of two doctors are dealing with the wife’s parents who live with them and three children. At different times they have experienced the virus among family members. They have access to our staff 24/7. We also help a family that have lost their income and are not able to pay their rent. At this time we do not have funds to pay their back rent of over $5,000.00. Our philosophy is to help one person or one family at a time. We cannot do everything but we can do something. We depend on donations and in our present situation we are not receiving sufficient funding to pay our obligations. We pool our resources so that we can continue. Our staff involves one PhD in Sociology with a specialty in Psychoanalytic Theory, a clinical social work and a Nun who is our leader of prayer ministry. We have applied for Federal Financial Assistance but has not as yet received these funds. We are a 501 c 3 Charity. Pax.
