IFBB Pro JOANNA THOMAS FUNEREAL FUNDRAISING

In the late 90s, British bodybuilding was taken by storm by two sisters from Cornwall, Nicola and Joanna Thomas, both winning the overall British title in consecutive years, 1997 and 1998 and also winning their coveted IFBB pro cards. Joanna moved to the US to pursue her bodybuilding, wining a pro show and placing top ten at the Ms Olympia. After encountering a few health problems that included a persistent knee injuries and severe arthritis, Jo returned to the U.K. unable to walk, on painkillers and unable to work. Sadly, Jo passed away on the 26th April in her flat. This is very sad news for bodybuilding. Jo’s parents are pensioners and this is to raise some funds through the bodybuilding world to help her family at such a sorrowful time. Jo is one of our own. Let’s show some support to her family.
