In Memory of Emmy Falta

On behalf of my mother, Emmy Falta, I wish to express that our entire family has been deeply moved by the consistent outpouring of affection and support that we have received from so many since my mother fell ill with COVID-19.  Sadly, after a valiant fight, my mother passed away late in the evening on Monday, April 27, 2020.  So many people continue to reach out to us and have asked how to help and what we need.  I, along with my brother Rafael, my little sister Julie and our entire extended family remain profoundly grateful.  Your love and support is sustaining us, as is the gentle, kind spirit and memory of our mother.   Our lives have been centered in New Rochelle, but as we grow and evolve, we have become connected to other communities and friendships as well.  In this respect, and in response to the many requests to aid us now and in the near future, we thought it wise to form this Go Fund Me page to provide a way to answer your loving offers.   We are grateful for all those associated with the New Rochelle City Schools, and all those who knew our mother outside of her work life as well, who have already done so much for us over the last few weeks.  Anything you wish to provide will be received with gratitude and directed to support our family as we prepare for our mother's funeral and try to provide for immediate and future needs as well.
