Help Algerians Stranded In The US

Dear community in the DMV. My name is Sidi Med Benhabib living in Fairfax VA. Many of you know me and many don’t. Those who know me can testify on my behalf that I’m an honest clean and transparent person, and I’m doing this gofund me to help people that are directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic because of no income. At the present time we are helping Algerians that got stranded in the US due to travel restrictions. A group of three people (one has diabetes) are in a hotel room in Ballston VA. There is also a couple at a hotel room in falls church VA. All of them their health travel insurance expired. I’m also working with two Algerian brothers from falls church VA who are helping families in the DMV that are also affected by this pandemic. Ramadan is coming and nobody has an answer about how long this difficult situation will last. To be on the safe side we are trying to collect funds for at least one month. 100% of funds raised are going to help these individuals/families and are being used to buy food, short term housing (hotels) and sometimes cash for other miscellaneous needs (such as hygiene products). To ensure transparency throughout the fundraising and fund deployment process, I’ll personally document and publish the sources and use of all funds on a weekly basis. Im aware that you all have families you are taking care of and some may not be working as well, but please consider even a small donation whatever you are capable of will be greatly appreciated. Our goals by priorities are: 1- help the Algerian travelers who are stuck in the US 2- help the Algerian American families in the DMV who are struggling with tent/food... 3- anything left from the Gofund me will go to Algerians in other states as well as people in Algeria. In these difficult times we need to mobilize as a community to help the less fortunate. This is a great opportunity to make a direct change in our community for those who need it most.
