Music For Meals

The pandemic of Covid-19 has created a serious challenge for many families who now rely heavily on the support of local food banks. My name is Dani Black, and I am a 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Vancouver BC. Like many, I have a passion for music and wanted to shine a little light in these dark times. Originally, I wanted to put on a mini social-distancing concert for my neighbours to spread a little joy in the community during these uncertain times. After an overwhelmingly positive response to the idea of a concert, I started to think a little bit bigger: how can I really make an impactful difference for those in need? That’s when I came up with the idea of Music for Meals! Music for Meals is a livestream concert with the purpose of helping families in need, by raising funds for local food banks. During the hour-long concert I will be performing a mix of my own original songs, as well as several classic hits from the 50’s to today! You can watch the livestream from my Instagram account (@daniblack.music) this Saturday April 18, starting at 4pm PST, or 7pm EST. I will match all donations raised during the livestream up to a total of $500. Further, I will be personally donating an additional $1 for every person who watches the livestream within the hour! (up to another $500 for a total of $1000!) Thank you for reading and if you can, please donate to the cause.
