Wild Heart Resilience Fund

Wild Heart Farm & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started in the Summer of 2019. We are building and cultivating a community farm, animal sanctuary and healing space on undeveloped land, in a sunny cove in the Appalachian Mountains. The property is completely off-grid and we’ve experienced many hardships getting things going while learning new approaches and have developed a sense of appreciation and gratitude for things many of us take for granted, such as running water, electricity, and solid infrastructure. We need your help. We need to scale up our farm operation so that we can serve more of our local community in a time of need. All of the fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and seeds will be donated, free of charge, to folks that need and want it. We need more plants, more seeds, more soil amendments, another small greenhouse for starting seeds and the entire cultivated field fenced. We also need to create more fenced pastures for our sanctuary animals, so that we can rotationally graze them, so that we are less reliant on purchasing feed for them. We need to stock up on supplements, medicine, hay, feed and bedding so that we can stay quarantined at the farm during this Pandemic. We need funds set aside so that when emergencies arise (at least once a month, unfortunately), we can afford to hire our mobile veterinary team to treat the animals quickly. We feel fortunate and privileged to be on this land, and already on the path towards self sufficiency. We need your help during this time so that we can help others.
