Friday morning (2/28/2020) I took Chris to the ER believing he had the flu. When his white blood count came back extremely high, we were transferred to OLOL Children’s Hospital. There it was confirmed that Chris has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (ALL). He will is currently at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis for more testing and treatment. We will be in Memphis for 10 weeks for his initial treatment. The entire treatment will take 2 1/2 years. Chris will not be able to attend school for at least a year since treatment will deplete his immune system.
