Help Theo Walk Again

I am fundraising to get my puppy surgery. He broke his femur. I had let my dogs out one last time before we would all head to bed. They were chasing each other around the yard and playing tag a war, having the time of their lives. I opened the back door to signal it was time to come in. Only one of my dogs had come racing through the door. I peeked my head outside to see Theo making his way slower than usual. He made his way to the door limping and just stood at the bottom of the step and looked up at me. Confused as to why he couldn’t jump up, I carried him over the steps. I watched him walk to the living room and I could tell his leg was in so much pain. He had never had any problems with his back leg, given he’s only 12 months old. I went ahead and took a closer look. Gently touching his leg you could tell there was no support, I had let his leg go and it just would swing back and fourth. I kept an eye on him the next couple hours since no vets were open. I wanted-to wait until the morning since I knew the emergency room would be expensive. Over the next few hours he was restless. My heart aches for him and I decided to take him to the ER. At first glance the doctor could tell his leg was broken. I told her I wanted to wait until the morning to get his x-ray. She proceeded to give him pain medication and I was advised to kennel rest him until the morning. Which I did, and first thing in the morning I took him to the vet. He was x-rayed proved his femur was broken I’m half. Since I couldn’t afford to pay the $1300 out of pocket he couldn’t get surgery. He is currently at homewith some pain medication and on major bed rest. Theo is the love of my life and means more than anything to me.
