Arissa Johnson

Hello everyone my name is Arissa, I am 32 years old, and I am a youth worker. I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour, and now they found two more tumours in my body. I am fighting to keep my immune system up, and go to work through all of this at the same time. I need to go for therapy weekly two hours away from me, and go even further to meet my specialists. I am going to be doing a lot of traveling to and from appointments. I have a long journey ahead for me and I am going to fight really hard to get better. There are going to be many hard days, and a lot of support needed from my friends and family to get me through this. I am going to need time off of work soon for my brain surgery, which definitely won’t be easy to keep up. I will be doing treatment that is not covered that will cost me $1200 a month plus travel to and from. I decided to do this to give me the best chance possible. I have lost a lot of family from these problems in the past, so I know I need to do everything that I can to get better. I could really use the help to be able to keep up with my therapy and appointments out of town.
