Access to the internet is increasingly becoming a sign of an emerging inequality for families in many urban and rural communities. In Baltimore City, many school aged children are without this resource and therefore are left behind many of their peers.
My goal for raising $7,000.00 is to provide educational support for seven students, fostering digital literacy and increasing student achievement for those who would otherwise be at an educational and competitive disadvantage.
By raising $7,000.00 and working with an identified local community development corporation we will award several laptop computers and pay for internet access for up to six months for deserving students.
