We Knead Your Help At The Bakery

For those of us who do not know of our bakery in Galva Illinois we’d like to say hello. Our son Frankie is about to graduate high school and has been in the life skills program at Geneseo High School prepping for adulthood. In early 2018 I lost my job, prompting me to find a new way to provide for my family. The bakery in our town, which was open for 80 years, had recently closed. It dawned on me that I could open a bakery and work side-by-side with Frankie. We have now been open for over a year and we are looking to expand our business and employ others with special abilities. In an effort to continue our journey, there are many expenses that we still face. Before I can start to expand the business I have a some equipment needs. Some of which include re-wiring a donated Hobart 30 quart mixer, so that it matches the electrical needs of the building. We also need a new oven, one that is specific for baking. The one that I have currently is beginning to malfunction and won’t allow me to make tall bread, due to the height of he decks. I will also need to create more workstations, prior to hiring, to have additional processing spaces available. I will need to purchase additional pans, bowls etc for us to work side by side. We have been asked by so many people, from around the world, to have mail order available. I do need to find out if there are any regulations that I’m required to fulfill prior to doing a mail order service for all of you that are wanting to support us.
