Help Irene Smith, Your What-A-Burger Lady

Most people from this area know Miss Irene Smith as the friendly, loving and caring lady from What-A-Burger #2 in downtown Concord. The lady who always makes you feel like family and who never lets you leave without hearing the words, "Be blessed and be safe! Love you!" Well now everyone's favorite lady needs our help. She fell on December 26th as she was leaving for work and ended up at the ER with 2 broke ankles. She has had to have surgery and her right ankle is in a cast while the left is in a boot. She spent 3 weeks at the hospital and has been at Five Oaks for about 2 weeks now. She needs extensive rehab and will not be walking for quite some time. The doctors say her right ankle will take about a year to heal and then she will still be limited as to how long she can stand. They do not believe she will be able to return to work. She has filed for disability, but as you know, that can take a while to come through. In the meanwhile, she still has to maintain her household and be able to live. Irene has always been a strong advocate for helping people who have fallen on hard times. She gave even when she couldn't really afford to give and always said, "This is from my heart. The Lord blesses me everyday." So I ask you now to please help this Precious lady in her time of need. Bless her like she has blessed so many.
