Lightning Strike Causes Total Loss To Family

Donation protected
I’m with Snowdoun Fire Dept, south of Montgomery Al and with permission from homeowner, I’m telling her story. Deborah Griffin (widowed)and her 16 yr old son JC, were left with nothing after their home suffered a total loss from a lightning strike in the storms that passed through the area on Saturday. They were able to escape safely along with their family dog and cat and the ashes from her late husband who recently passed away in 2018. They are in need of everything. Kick Back Ranch has helped them for a few nights with a safe place to stay. Monetary donations are needed more at this time. Some donations of clothes and toiletry items have been given to help for a little bit. She will be in contact with Red Cross and her homeowners to see what avenues she has to take with her 30+year old home. Their only vehicle was damaged due to the extensive heat from the fire. JC wears a X-large in shirts and pants, sweat pants, and Deborah wears a medium in pants. I will continue to update this post on any changes. Thank you all - and please keep them in your prayers. You may deliver to Kick Back at 414 Union Academy Ada Road . Monday - Friday 8:30 to 4:30. or call [phone redacted].
