Save Husky! Shot on New Years Day!

Last night my dog got out of his fence. It didn’t take us long to check the ring and find the video of him getting out of his fence. We looked for 6 hours. Someone finally called us with a tip that they saw him on there way to dinner. We all drove to that location looking for him and in our search for him a car stopped and we asked if they’d seen a husky. Their response was that they were headed to their friends house. And his friends neighbors found a shot husky. We tailed them back to their house and ran into their garage. The police were there and so were animal control. They had tried to stop the bleeding and wrapped cloth and duck tape around him. They couldn’t give us assistance getting to the closest animal hospital 20 miles away but we got Floki into the truck and he made it to the hospital. The vet said that he had severe injuries to his lungs and that she might have to remove one this afternoon. We called twice overnight for updates and a nurse told us to take him to Metropolitan Veterinary hospital. When I came to my mom with the news this morning she said money has recently become an issue. Last night I told the vet that money isn’t a problem but as of this morning it is. When we got to Floki both of his collars had been removed. It’s clear that someone shot to kill Floki, removed his collar and then threw him in a near by ravine that has been known for dumping. Please send any help you can. We put down a $2,500 deposit last night but we have to take him to a different hospital for treatment/surgery and any amount of money will help. Any advice on treatment for Floki will be helpful. Any advice on legal action will also be helpful.
