All I Want For Christmas Is My Chemo

Donation protected
Love brought hope and it arrived 40 years later. Can it bring help? I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer on 9/1/17 and given a window of life by the ER doctors of 3-4 months. My Oncologist, Dr. Moffett said “Bah! Humbug!”, and here we are fighting this beast two years later. He and his teams are my dragon slayers. As with any war, some battles are won and some are lost. While the cancer has spread into bones and now my lungs, we found a medication that really feels like it’s working. The down side is the monthly cost to me. My out of pocket is over $1,500 alone just for the chemo. Other expenses are almost as much and so I was refused treatment. Fellow classmates of 40 years ago stepped up to give me my Bucket List dream of seeing the Christmas lights at Disneyland, ABC filmed it, and I got to see them what may be my last time. Another classmate stepped up to help with the medical costs. Fellow former classmate Deniece Sims suggested I ask for help here, and my Facebook/Disneyland Fairy Godmother, Nancy Juetten concurred. So here I am. Asking for additional help, this time to stay alive via chemotherapy and all the other medicines, tests, hospital stays and whatever is necessary to keep on fighting the extreme costs of cancer. May each and every one of you feel the miracles of the season this year. Dana Hall Kennon Cancer Fighter!
