Izzie's Medical Donations

This fundraiser is for my old puppy, Izzie. She's my child and always will be! Two weeks ago I had to take Izzie into the vet due to vomiting and being tired. Upon taking x-rays we found she had an extremely large tumor that was attached to her spleen. We made the decision to take her into emergency surgery to remove the tumor, spleen, and a piece of her stomach. I thought she wasn't coming home that day and I can't tell you the relief of getting the call that she was out of surgery. She came through the surgery well, even at her age of 14. She came home at night but still had to spend the days at the hospital for monitoring. She's now recovering well and we've just had the stitches out. I'm so proud and relieved with how she's doing. Unfortunately the biopsy has come back on the tumor and it is cancer. It's a less common form of cancer and unfortunately all we can do is hope for the best and make sure she's happy. With this cancer, once the spleen has been removed, 50% of dogs pass away in 4 months, with the other 50% in 12 months. We're just going to have to stay positive! I wanted to start this fundraiser to help with her medical bills from the surgery, which was $1,800. Also for any additional trips to the hospital that I'm sure are in our future and to help spoil her as much as we can. Thank you so much for any help you can give!
