5 year stroke SURVIVOR

Donation protected
Frank suffered a massive stroke in June 2010. Initially doctors said he wasnt going to live. But he is stubborn and defied all odds and is making an incredible recovery. We still have a long ways to go. Since he does need pretty much round the clock care, I am unable to get a second part time job to make ends meet. Insurance only covers 25 hours a week of care for him, and I work 35 hours a week, taking the bus to and from work. Frank spends time alone, and we cant afford for him to be along longer than he is. Having the extra money would mean I could pay for someone to be with him so I could get another job, could help us make ends meet, or selfishly could mean I have an hour or so to myself every once in awhile. This will also help with simple things like groceries, and anything the insurance doesnt cover that can help in his recovery.

Just some things that we are looking to get...

**due to the stroke, we are dealing with some behavior issues concerning shaving and haircuts. I have done the best I could doing them myslef, but its beyond what I can do. I called around to local places, and the going rate to get both done is about $30
**Franks dress code now consists of shorts (luckily we live in AZ), tshirts/long sleeve t shirts when it gets chilly and BLACK socks with his shoes. Its amazing how many pair of shorts and socks we do go through. He has so many other clothes from the "before" life that eh either cant or wont wear.
**To keep up on the shaving, once we get him cleaned up, I would like him to relearn how to use an electric razer, so we will need to get one of them also.
**Me being selfish, before the stroke, we just had a queen size mattress we threw on the floor. When he came home we realized that would no longer work, and he has a hospital bed he sleeps in. I moved the futon, that had been given to us, into the bedroom so I could sleep with him. For 2 1/2 years I have been sleeping on a futon...I woudl do anything to have a real bed again...and hopefully one day a full size/queen bed with railings for us to share again.
**just to give him some "independence" and the chance to make his own choices, I'd liek to get some gift cards to Walmart, Frys or Target. Not big ones, but just ones so he can make his own choices and buy what he needs/wants

Thank you and God bless...I will pay this forward one day
