Chris Young's Marathon Page

The Boys and Girls Club has been a safe haven for Charlestown's youth since 1893. Over the last 119 years thousands of boys and girls have found a place that both supports them and challenges them to discover their talents and reach their full potential. 

This is the 6th year that the Club has fielded a Marathon team and I am very proud to be a part of it. Over the last two year the Boys and Girls Club has become very special to me as I have tutored youth at the Blue Hill Club and gone with the Blue Hill youth to rebuild a house in Springfield. Most recently I helped to renovate the teen center in the Waltham Boys and Girls Club. The youth that I have met through the Boys and Girls Club are truly inspirational and I am honored that they are letting me run the marathon for them. The minimum donation to be on the team is $2,500 but as most of you know I have never been one to settle for what is expected. I honestly think that with the help of all of my friends and family WE can raise at least $4,000....so if you have read all of this then the hard part is over, whatever donation you can make greatly appreciated and is one step closer to the finish line.
