Theatrical Production of Momo / Hizmetçiler
Biz 4 sahne emekcisi bir araya geldik ve sizlerin de begeneceginizi umdugumuz iki guzel oyun sectik. Bu sayede hem yetiskinlere hem de cocuklara hitap etmeyi hedefliyoruz. Oncelikle The Play Lab Company olarak Michael Ende'nin kult romanindan uyarladigimiz Momo'yu minik seyircilerimizle bulusturacagiz. Diger bir hedefimiz ise THEATRE EAST N BULL COMPANY ile Jean Genet`in Hizmetciler oyununu odullu yonetmen Baris Celiloglu tarafindan sahneye koymak .
Ilk olarak Jean Genet'in "Hizmetciler" oyununu guncel siyasi iklimi yansitacak sekilde guncelleyerek gunumuz modern seyircisiyle bulusturuyoruz.
Ikinci oyunumuzu ise, cocuklarimiz icin Micheal Ende'nin kult romani Momo'dan uyarlayarak sahneye koyacagiz. Momo 4 yas ve uzeri icin uygundur.
Tiyatro yapabilmek icin gerekli bicok maliyeti karsilamak adina ve bu guzel oyunlari sizinle bulusturmak umuduyla desteginize ihtiyacimiz var. Bunlardan bazilari Sahne kirasi, dekor, kostum, yonetmen, teknik ekip vs. Tahmin edebileceginiz gibi bu surec buyuk bir kararlilik ve emek gerektiriyor. Umuyoruz ki bu emegimizde sizin de bir payiniz olur.

Biz Kimiz...
BARIŞ CELİLOĞLU/YÖNETMEN Barış Celiloğlu Türkiye’deki tiyatro eğitimini Stüdyo Oyuncular’ında aldı. İstanbul’da Genç Oyuncular ve Bilsak Tiyatro Atölyesi’nin yapımlarında rol almakla beraber Türk sinemasının Tunç Başaran (Uçurtmayı Vurmasınlar) ve Derviş Zaim (Tabutta Rövaşata) gibi usta yönetmenleriyle çalıştıktan sonra 1997’de Londra’ya yerleşti. İngiltere’nin meşhur tiyatro konservatuvarlarından olan The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’da tiyatro üzerine master eğitimi alırken Londra’nın çeşitli tiyatrolarında (The Gate Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre, Arcola Theatre, The Young Vic, Edinburgh Fringe Festival) sahnelenen oyunlarda önemli roller oynadı ve ayrıca 1998 yılından beri Londra’nın çeşitli tiyatrolarında oyun yönetti. 2017’de Londra’da Ariel Dorfman’ın “Ölüm ve Kız” adlı oyununu hem yönetip hem de başrol olan Paulina’yı oynadı. Bu rolle kendisine 2018’de Direklerarası Seyirci Ödülleri tarafından yurtdışı kategorisinde “En İyi Kadın Oyuncu" ödülü verildi. 2018’de ayrıca Yunanlı yazar Loula Anagnostaki’nin Resmî Geçit adlı oyununu yöneterek büyük övgüler alan yönetmen Kasım 2018’de İngiliz bir kumpanyanın “Sakın Cüret Etme” adlı feminist ve politik temalarla dolu oyunuyla Londra’da eleştirmenlerden büyük övgü aldı. Barış Celiloğlu Nisan 2019’da da Resmî Geçit adlı oyunun rejisiyle yurtdışı kategorisinde Direklerarası Seyirci Ödülleri tarafından “en iyi yönetmen” ödülüne layık görüldü.
Irem Sayilgan 1985 Ankara dogumlu Irem keman egitimini Anadolu universitesinde aldiktan sonra Near East university de oyunculuk egitimini tamamlamistir. 2014 yilinda 'Hope' isimi kisa filmde bas rol olarak yer almis ve bu film odul alarak BFI' da gosterilmistir. Guest theatre ile Arcola theatre da Kozalar oyununu sergilemis bunun sonrasinda Arcola/Alaturca ve Guest Theatre ile oyunculuga devam etmistir. Irem Turkiye,Kibris ve Ingiltere'de bircok oyunda yer almistir.
Ada Burke 1985 yilinda Ankara dogdu ve bir suru baska sey okuduktan sonra en sevdigi seyin egitimini almaya 2009 yilinda Londraya geldi. Lispa ve The Poor School da oyunculuk egitimini tamamladi. Arcola Tiyatrosu basta olmak uzere, Soho Theatre, Hackney Showroom, Etcetera Theatre ve Rosemary Theatre gibi yerlerde bir cok oyunda oynadi. Ada ayrica kisa ve uzun metrajli filmlerde yer aldi. Hatta Landescapes adli kisa metrajli film ona uluslararasi Kosova Shqip Festivalinden en iyi kadin oyuncu odulunu getirdi. Ada halen cesitli tiyatrolarda oyunculuk yapmakta, Turkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafindan desteklenen Karagoz ve Hacivat golge oyununu ilkokullarda oynatmakta ve cesitli animasyon ve reklam seslendirmelerinde yer almaktadir.
DILEK YORULMAZ 2003 yılında Londra’da oyunculuk eğitimi aldı, 2004 yılında Şahika Tekand Studio Oyuncuları ile çalıştı. 2005 yıllında Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi (BKM) Mutfak Oyuncuları arasına katıldı. Devlet Tiyatroları ve özel tiyatro grupları ile çalıştı. Bir çok kısa film ve televizyon dizisinde oynadı.7 Kocalı Hürmüz ( İclal ), Oyuncu ( Naz ), Hükümet Kadın ( Zümre ) rol aldığı sinema filmlerden bazılarıdır. 2009 yılında Kadir Has Üniversitesi Film ve Drama Oyunculuk Yüksek Lisansı Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. 2014 yılında “Nefes Tuition and Productions” şirketini kurarak Londra’ya yerleşti. Londra'da oyuncu, yönetmen ve yapımcı olarak çalışmalarına devam etmekte, aynı zamanda yaratıcı drama, oyunculuk ve yoga dersleri vermektedir. 2019 yılında yapımcılığını da üstlendiği “Resmi Geçit” oyunundaki performansı ile Direklerarası Seyircileri tarafından en iyi oyuncu ödülünü almıştır.

HİZMETÇİLER/Jean Genet
Oyundaki iki hizmetçi psikopati ile intahar eğilimi arasında gidip gelirken yoğun duygulardan geçen, efendi/hizmetçi ilişkisine hapsedilmiş ve insanlıktan çıkarılmış kadınlardır. Bu oyun mülkiyet fikrini sorgular ve gücün nasıl kararlaştırıldığını inceler. Jean Genet bu oyunla insanlar arasındaki güç ve iktidar dinamiklerini sorgulayan karanlık bir iktidar üçgenini yazmıştır. Biz de Tiyatro East N Bull olarak bu derin oyunu günümüzün güç ve iktidar ilişkilerinin altını çizmek üzere uyarladık.

Momo buuk bir kentin tiyatro harebelerinde yasayan kucuk bir kizdir. Bulduklari ya da kendisine hediye edilenler disinda hicbir seyi yoktur. Ancak olaganustu bir yetenegi vardir. Birgun hayaletimsi topluluk duman adamlar ortaya cikar. Ince hesapli planlar kurup insanlarin zamanini calarlar. Onlari durduracak tek kisi ise Momo`dur.
Momo tam da gunumuz problemlerinden olan zamansizligi, zamanimizi neye karsilik sattigimizi ve nasil mutsuz oldugumuzu ve nasil kurtulabilecegimizi anlatiyor. The Play Lab Company daha once Kucuk Kara Balik, Pabuccu Cinler ve Son Ejderha oyunlariyla minik seyircilere bulumustu.

We are producing two Turkish Language stage adaptations of literary classics, one for adults and one for children. We have a wonderfully talented creative team, dedicated to bringing two famous stories to life for the benefit of the Community in London. We are now looking for funding to support the productions.
Both plays will be original adaptations. The first is our own retelling of Jean Genet's 'The Maids', updated for a modern audience to reflect the current political climate.
The second is theatrical production of Michael Ende's world renowned, masterpiece, Momo aimed at children 4 years +
We require funding to cover the many costs associated with putting on a theatrical production including theatre hire, props and sets, insurance, crew (director, lighting and sound engineers etc.)
We believe these productions will be a wonderful experience for the community in London and we will extremely grateful for any contribution we receive towards the successful staging of these plays.
Who we are...
Baris Celiloglu is a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. She started her acting and directing career in Istanbul, Turkey in 1992. She performed in the acclaimed cult Turkish film productions “Don’t Let Them Shoot the Kite" by Tunc Basaran and "Sommersault in a Coffin" by Dervis Zaim in her early career. She came to London in 1997 after acting and directing on stage for a few years in Istanbul. In Britain, she has performed in venues such as The Gate Theatre, Arcola Theatre, The Young Vic in London and in Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as directing in London fringe theatres since 1998. She has recently directed “The Parade” by Loula Anagnostaki, "Two Lost in a Filthy Night" by Plinio Marcos and "Death and the Maiden" by Ariel Dorfman which were staged at Etcetera and Arcola Theatres in London as well as touring to Istanbul successfully. In 2018 Baris Celiloglu was awarded as the ‘best actress’ by a prominent awarding body in Turkey for her role Paulina in Death and the Maiden which she also co-directed. She has also recently been awarded the “best director” by Direklerarasi Audience Awards for her direction of The Parade.
Irem Sayilgan was born in Ankara 1985 and was educated in Violin at Anatolia University Conservatory. She subsequently achieved a BA in Drama & Performing Arts at Near East University in Cyprus. Irem played the lead character in the short film, ‘Hope’ which showed at BFI in 2014. and in the same year played one of the leading roles in Guest Theatre's production of Cocoons at Arcola theatre. She continues to work as a professional actor including performances with Creative Tutorials, Guest Theatre and Arcola theatre/Alaturca. She has played in numerous theatre plays internationally, including productions in Turkey, Cyprus and England.
Ada Burke was born in 1985 in Ankara, Turkey. After she studied many different subjects she decided to chase her dream to be an actress and with this motivation she came to London in 2009. She studied acting at Lispa and The Poor School. She participated in many shows in many well known theatres such as Arcola Theatre, Soho Theatre, Hackney Showroom, Etcetera Theatre and Rosemary Theatre. Ada also took part in short and feature films. One of thoe Landescapes brought her Best Actress Award in International Kosova Shqip Short Film Festival. Ada still continues acting in different productions, works as a pupeteer in famous Turkish shadow play Karagoz and Hacivat and also does voiceover for commercials and animations.
DİLEK YORULMAZ studied acting in London 2003 and Sahika Tekand Studio Players in 2004. She played various parts in the Turkish Theatre at BKM and the National Turkish Theatre, as well as performing Turkish films and TV serials such as “7 Husbands for Hurmuz (Iclal) “The Actor ( Naz)” and “Government Woman( Zumre)”. She graduated Master Degree in Film and Drama at the University of Kadir Has in 2009. Since 2014, she has started her own company called “Nefes Tuition and Productions” in London. She has been working as an actress, director and producer. She has been also leading creative drama, acting and yoga classes since moving to London. She has been recently awarded the best actress award by a prominent awarding body in Turkey for her role Zoi in The Parade which she was also producer of the play.

THE MAIDS by Genet
Trapped in a dehumanising master/servant relationship, the maids go through a variety of highly emotional states. Psychopathic, and highly self destructive at the same time. This play questions the idea of ownership and examines how power hierarchies are decided. Genet has written a dark and twisted power triangle to which brings in to question the distribution of power and the struggles among people.
As Theatre East N Bull, we will proudly present a fresh adaptation of Genet's classic play, updated to comment on today’s world and its new power dynamics.
MOMO by Michael Ende
Momo is living in the ruins of a theatre in the big city. She doesn't have anything except what she found and presents from the other villagers. But Momo possesses an amazing talent: she is the greatest listener and has all the time in the world for it. When the mysterious 'Smoke Men' arrive in her village and begin stealing people's time, the only person who can stop them is Momo.
Momo is an allegorical tale which remains relevant today, exploring how the ways in which we have sold our time have taken their toll on our happiness.
