Real Heroes! After The Storm.

Donation protected

I am Martin Williams originally from Nassau Bahamas. I am a Bahamian citizen, currently living and working in the United Kingdom with my beautiful wife Jennifer,  where we are home away from home. We feel a sense of duty to help in someway to the best of our ability in the rebuilding process of the affected Bahama Islands and in supporting some of the families and friends in my homeland. The many proud and friendly people of the Bahamas has been through a catastrophic natural disaster, which they have sustained from hurricane Dorian. Many of them now have to look at the future in moving forward without their loved ones that they have lost, along with property and personal possession, all of which they will never see again. Our people; the Bahamian people are in real need of all the basic essentials to get them through the day after surviving this catastrophic hurricane mainly in the islands of Abaco, Abaco Cays and Freeport Grand Bahama. It is not easy for the many which do not have any answer to what will become of them and their loved ones that has survived the hurricane. Their physical and mental pain is more than we can ever imagine, as the survivors now wrestle with what each day will bring through their real heartbreaking situations that is personal to them. We do believe that our people; the Bahamian people, will rebound through the generosity of the wider world from the overwhelming love and support they have and will receive. The Bahamian people will find some comfort as they seek to get back to a sense of normalcy in the hope that they can continue to hold on to life, as they live to get through the days after the storm. We thank you in joining with us to help support the people of the Bahamas; our Bahama land; our extended brothers and sisters in need. All funds raised will be donated to those that have taken in survivors. We have been inspired through one remarkable story; which 11 survivors of the catastrophic hurricane in Freeport were taken in by their family member who is wheelchair bound and gave them shelter for a few days in Nassau, the Capital City of the Bahamas living in a two bedroom house with one bathroom which already had two adults and two kids residing there. We are  truly touched through some of the selflessness of persons that has taken the time to open up their homes and taking in some of the many displaced survivors. They are true ambassadors, some which you will never hear or know of; as they saw a need for which they are personally making a sacrifice to help those which are not able to help themselves in the short and long periods as it presents itself. May the hearts of the Bahamian people be one that truly embrace the generosity, compassion, love and support from us all, which has brought unity for everyone to embrace as one people in our world today and being thankful. We thank you for your support and prayers.
