In Memory Of Steven DeMars

Recently our family was dealt a great blow with the sudden and unexpected loss of Steven C. DeMars, a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and the best grandpa! He was a wonderful man that loved and worked hard to support his family, most of his life working two jobs.
Steven loved the ocean and spent most of his free time crabbing or clamming until he found a way to turn his life’s passion into a business that allowed him to do what he loved most, full time, for the remainder of his days here with us.
Steven left behind his wife Ora Jean who he was married to for 54 years, 4 children, Steven DeMars, Ryan DeMars, Julie Ford, Shelley Bates, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Our family has suffered such an unexpected and tragic loss, that no family should endure, and I hope that we can come together during this hard time and be there to help our family and the struggles that come from losing a loved one. No words can possibly describe the loss and pain that each and everyone of us that knew Steven is feeling right now.
Since his death, Facebook is flooded with stories and remembrences of Steven and the love that everyone has for him. He will be missed by all but his memory will live on forever.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise money for Steven’s children to help with the unexpected burden of the costs that will incur from memorial services for sending off this amazing man and to help wherever needed.
With everything that has just happened and the work that all the kids will be missing funds are going to be an issue. Any help you can give would be truly appreciated, even if it’s just sharing this.It is in these times of loss and sadness when you see people coming together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for.
