Fighting Joe

Those who know Joe, know that he is a kind, caring person who is always willing to help others.  A little over two years ago Joe lost his wife to lung cancer.

On July 31, 2019, Joe’s  life changed dramatically. While crossing the street, as a pedestrian, he was struck by a car. He sustained many injuries, many broken bones, including his thoracic spine. Luckily, he did not have any brain injury. He was in Intensive Care for two weeks. While he has shown signs of improvement, his road to recovery is going to be a long one. It is too soon to know fully what that recovery will be and how he may be affected. We do know that he will require inpatient rehab for some time.

Joe has insurance but his deductible and out of pocket expenses will be considerable. Since we are in the latter part of 2019, these expenses will reoccur, beginning in 2020. Joe has a strong work ethic and he will need that quality to propel him through these therapies. He will not be able to work during his recovery, so his income will be greatly reduced. We decided to start this GoFundMe to help fund his deductibles, co-insurance and supplement his living expenses, so Joe can focus all of his energy on healing and recovery. Any amount will help. We greatly appreciate your donations. If you are unable to contribute, we understand and welcome all encouragement, support, prayers and positive energy.
