My name is Tanner Bengtzen and I live in South Jordan Utah. I have played outdoor soccer ever since I was three years old and futsal since I was ten. I play for the three-time state championship soccer team in outdoor and play elite futsal, and highly enjoy playing both as a lifestyle.
About six months ago, I received a letter from the United States Youth Futsal program inviting me to Denver, Colorado for a regional I.D. camp. I was thrilled to get the opportunity to train with the head coaches of the United States Futsal Team. After a week at this regional I.D. Camp, I was informed that I was invited to attend the National I.D. Camp in Kansas City. This intense week of training resulted in an opportunity I have never imagined receiving.
After returning home to Salt Lake, I received a letter informing me that I had been selected to be one of twelve players to represent my Country on the United States U18 Futsal Team.
I was so shocked, honored, and amazed that I had been chosen to play for them. Later this month, the national team and I will travel to Costa Rica to perform and reflect our nation's talent to Latin America. Although this is an amazing experience, the trip is not yet paid for.
I am reaching out to those who would be willing to help me raise the necessary funds to cover the fees and expenses related to this opportunity. It would be an honor and a privilege to receive a donation of any sort from anyone who is willing to help me follow my dreams as I represent Utah and the United States.
