Meet Apollo.
On Saturday, July 13th, I went to the auction which I’ve done multiple times over the years, to offer some love to the horses passing through. Before the auction even began, I looked over and saw this sad little guy.
Apollo is approximately three months old, pulled from his mother and his herd that morning to be put on a trailer bound for the auction. Unfortunately for horses in this bad of shape, the meat buyers get to them before they’re able to be saved.
With the help of my wonderful barn owners who take care of Taryn for me, we saved him. Apollo has a bad abscess on his face which is causing him a lot of pain. The vet has been out and antibiotics have been started.
Two good baths, food, water and lots of TLC has helped tremendously in just two days. Any donations towards this little horse’s vet bills is extremely appreciated. I’ve never been big on the GoFundMe pages, because I’ve always believed in paying your own way, but this horse walked into my life so unexpectedly, I couldn’t turn a blind eye and walk away. I’m doing the best I can with what I have and every little bit helps.
